Reviews and Ratings
My stay at this hotel was fantastic! The room I stayed in was not only cozy but also spacious, equipped with everything I needed like a coffee maker, iron, and hairdryer. The service at the copper dog bar/restaurant was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. The location, right on the banks of the Spey, was simply breathtaking and ideal for exploring nearby attractions. The dining experience was superb, especially at the Copper Dog restaurant. Overall, a great value for money with exceptional facilities.
The hotel offers a cozy atmosphere with good vintage touches like a radioplayer and Nespresso machine, a welcoming restaurant, and an exceptional whisky bar. However, the rooms were small, hot, and not as dark as expected, making it hard to sleep. Unfortunately, when we asked for a fan, we were told none were available to guests.
The hotel was located in a lively area with easy access to local restaurants and distilleries. While the room had necessary amenities, it was on a noisy main road and required a floor squeegee for the wet floors after a shower.
Room 11 was near perfect with great views and a bit warm, but easily adjustable. The service was casual yet attentive, especially Angus in the bar. The location is ideal for exploring the whisky land. The dining experience was good with cooked-to-order meals. Vintage radioplayer and Nespresso machine add charm to the rooms, though some noise from the busy road. The hotel offers a taste of Scottish hospitality with quirky wall murals and a cozy fireplace featuring the Queen Mother.
The rooms were cozy and well-equipped, with amazing views from some. The location was perfect for exploring the Spey Valley and nearby distilleries. The dining experience was reasonably priced and convenient, although there were some extra charges. Overall, a delightful taste of Scottish hospitality with a few quirks that added to the charm.
After a grueling day of touring distilleries and tasting some of the finest single malt whisky, we arrived at the lodge where we were warmly welcomed. The rooms had great views, but carrying bags up and down the stairs was a bit tiring.
